Harvest Time

October came and went so fast that I can hardly believe we are on the heels of Thanksgiving! It seemed to be a month full of beautiful weather - Fall this year was good enough to let us hang on to Summer for just a few more weeks. It is good for the soul to be eased into winter. We had so much fun visiting two different pumpkin patches this year. One was at a locally owned nursery just up the road from us and their son is in Makenna's kindergarten class. They had so much fun in a huge jumping castle, finding their way through a kid-friendly hay maze, going down a giant slide, and of course picking the perfect pumpkin. The afternoon ended with some yummy apple cider and apple slices for all. Needless to say, the kids didn't want to leave!
