Heaven's Gate

For all of you who have visited the enchanted city of Sisters and have had the privilege of driving through the green gate off Camp Polk Rd. , you know what I'm talking about when I say Heaven's Gate. There is something special about this place. Once turning onto the gravel road you are greeted by horses; greys, browns, and majestic black Fresians - and if you're lucky they will be running, manes flying, and you can feel your heart beat with the rythm of their hooves. In the midst of rolling pastures your eyes will land on two ponds that seem to be saying "welcome" - they are the eyes of the ranch and can't help but reflect it's surrounding beauty. As you continue up the road you feel the calm security of far reaching Ponderosa Pines, holding you in as the ridge gradually climbs. Once at the top you find yourself overlooking the peaceful valley, masterfully trimmed with just enough trees to lead your eyes to the surrounding mountains and stunning skyline. We are humbled to call this place home and are ever grateful to Dave and Debbi for welcoming us here. These pictures were taken from the top of the ridge, that ridge overlooking Heaven's Gate.
